The National Trust's Tattershall Castle, Lincolnshire, is a moated 15th century red-brick castle set in beautiful grounds, it can be seen from Tattershall Lakes.
Tattershall Castle is a magnificent medieval tower proudly rising from the flat Lincolnshire fens; a survivor of conflict, decay and restoration. Well worth a visit!

There are various fishing lakes at Tattershall lakes, both on and off site! It typically costs around £6-£8 for a day ticket, there is also requirement to have a rod licence.
Moon lake is a fantastic fishing venue and is next to Tattershall Farm park (easily one of the top 5 things to do near Tattershall too), both are a short drive from Tattershall Lakes.
Westwood lakes in Boston is also another great fishing venue, well stocked man-made lakes with a huge tackle shop and a cafe too, its only 25 minutes away from Tattershall Lakes. If you are with young children (who may get bored easily when fishing) take them here, you are guaranteed to catch!
Genuinely one of our favourite local attractions at Tattershall Lakes! Whether the sun is shining, or if it is cold, wet, windy and miserable you’ll find plenty to see and do at Tattershall Farm Park. One of the top 5 things to do near Tattershall.
In fact, there is as much to do inside and under cover as there is outdoors.
Not only can you feed the animals yourself all year round, they also offer seasonal activities too inc pony Rides, Exotic Animal encounters, Bird of Prey shows, Lambing and Sheep Shearing, Pumpkin Patch, the Great Big Easter Egg Hunt and a traditional Nordic Santa’s Grotto, Tattershall Farm Park offers something special for every season.
The Kinema in the Woods is more than a cinema, it’s more like a fairytale. Another personal favourite of ours, not only do you get to see the latest blockbuster films, you also get to experience how cinemas used to be during the early 1900's, The Kinema in the woods has been showing films continuously since 1922! A short drive from Tattershall Lakes, definitely one for the 'things to do near Tattershall' list!
The foyer is a mini museum dedicated to the Golden Age of Cinema and there is still an 'interval' mid way through the film where you can stock up on more fresh popcorn or pop for a comfort break.
Woodhall Spa is a beautiful quaint little village which is a short drive from Tattershall Lakes, perfect if you like decent coffee, it has many trendy coffee shops and a wonderful traditional bakery too.
Woodhall Spa is famous for hosting an annual 1940's Festival. There is a wide variety of restaurants, pubs and shops, there's even a supermarket too.

The Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) exists to commemorate the past of the RAF's Air Combat Power.
The aircraft are regularly seen flying over Tattershall Lakes and at events commemorating World War II, upon British State occasions, notably the Trooping the Colour celebrating Queen Elizabeth II's birthday, and at air displays throughout the United Kingdom and Europe.
A unique partnership between the Royal Air Force and Lincolnshire County Council offers a gateway to the home of the BBMF at RAF Coningsby. You will be able to see the Flight’s historic aircraft at close quarters and to observe the BBMF technicians working to maintain them in airworthy condition. One of our favourite Tattershall Lakes local attractions.

The Thorpe Camp Preservation Group established the Visitor Centre in 1988 to commemorate those Airmen who flew from the airfield in World War II from
97, 619, 617 (Dambusters) and 627 Squadrons all based at RAF Woodhall Spa.
The Thorpe Camp Visitors Centre gives an insight into military civilian life in Lincolnshire in the 1940s. Thorpe Camp visitors centre is only a 10 minute drive from Tattershall Lakes itself.
Boston West has a Golf Course, a driving range and also has a Footgolf course.
